Electrical Periodic Inspection Reports With Certificate.

During The Approved Caravan Service The Following Checks And Adjustments Will Be Carried Out:

Section One - Chassis And Running Gear: Coupling head and safety catch. Ball acting stabilizer. Breakaway cable and clip. Head springs and damper. Drawbar. Jockey wheel assembly. Chassis and security of assemblies. Chassis to body security. Corner steadies and spare wheel carrier. Wheels. Tyres, check condition and advise replacement if over five years. Tyres, adjust / record pressures and tread depths (inc spare). Suspension assemblies. Handbrake mechanism and damper. Brake rods, cables and supports. Brake drums, remove to clean and check hub, bearings and seals. Brake shoes condition of linings, springs and expanders. Brake system - adjust and check operation. Road wheels, torque to manufacturers settings and record details.

Section Two - 12v Electrics: 12n and 12s plugs / cables. Road lights and reflectors. Fridge 12v. Interior lighting and equipment. Battery condition, security and electrolyte level. Awning light. 12v cables and fuse ratings.

Section Three - Mains Electrics: Inlet plug. Hook up cable. Earth bonding. RCD operation. MCB rating. Lighting. Sockets. Appliances. Transformer / Charger unit.

Section Four - Ventilation: Floor ventilation. Roof ventilation. Free flow of air.

Section Five - Gas Safety: Cylinder security. Regulator performance. Flexible hose. Fixed pipe work. Gas leak test. Test flame failure devices. Check gas dispersal holes. Test all Appliances (operation and safety only).

Section Six - Water System: Water Pump. Pressure Switch. Taps. Micro switches. Valves. pipe work. Onboard tank (if fitted). Water filter and housing (replace filter if required). Toilet seals and blade operation. Waste system. Drain water system after service (winter only).

Section Seven - Fire Safety: Smoke alarm smoke test operation. Carbon monoxide alarm carbon monoxide test operation. Extinguisher type and expiry date. Fire blanket location and fixing.

Section Eight - Bodywork: Body panel condition. Sealant condition. Door locks and hinges. Security of body attachments (ladders, cycle racks, lockers, aerials, satellite dishes etc). Floor delamination. Furniture fixings and condition. Grab handle fixings. Window seals. Blinds operation. Damp test with separate report.
